Ministerial Advisory Board Inaugurated for the Ministery of Communications

Hon Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Communications
The Minister for Communications, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, has inaugurated an 11 Ministerial Advisory Board for his Ministry in Accra, yesterday. The Board is meant to advise the Minister in policy directions, planning objectives and operational strategies as well as promote constant interactions between the Ministry and the users of its services.
The Board includes Hon. Haruna Iddrisu as the Chairman with Hon. Gideon Quacoo, Mr. K. Ofosu-Adakwa, Mr. Bernard Forson, Dr. Samuel Somuah,Mr. Michael M. Tanu, Ms. Dorothy Gordon, Mr. Leslie Tamakloe, Mr. Philip Sowah, Mr. K. A. Hayford and Commander PMG Griffiths (Retired) as members.
The Minister remarked that the vision of the government is to promote citizenry inclusiveness in policy formulation and implementation process in line with the principles of openness and accountability as enshrined in the manifesto of the ruling party; the NDC.
He reiterated that it is precisely because of the commitment of the government to utilise the consultative process in governance that the President has directed attention to the need to have the Ministerial Advisory Board in place.
Mr. Iddrisu indicated that the task ahead calls for dedication and co-operation and urged all to endeavour to be committed to the course of effective consultation.
